A stable and reliable system must be used in order to ensure minimal “down times” that are quite critical and sometimes may result in loss of required evidence. The HDD storing space of the NVR system must be in RAID5 format for total hard disk redundancy.

 

For a bank CCTV system, not only high speed recording is considered as perquisite, but also high image resolution is needed. In order to be able to distinguish special face or figure characteristics of a person that remains in the picture frame only a few seconds and, in turn, be able to forward this information to the police authorities, a top of the line system is needed. D1 resolution (704x576 in PAL, 720x576 in NTSC) is therefore recommended along with the ability to record 25 fps per camera constantly.

 

Another important aspect when it comes to proving what needs to be proved is to offer video streams that are accepted in court. Cubitech’s compression algorithm has been certified from Kalagate, making this way all video coming from a Cubis NVR system accepted in EU courts of law as evidence.

 

Bank dedicated NVR systems need to allocate storage space to each camera independently, if required, in accordance with country laws and regulations. E.g. in order to resolve any ATM related disputes the cameras installed in the ATM should keep longer records of video footage. Also the system needs to be expandable and ready to accept HD cameras as well.

 

CubisNX NVR systems also offer connectivity to CubisCENTRAL for centralized recording, configuration and surveillance of all systems belonging to a certain bank giving this way the option of a customized Central Control Room without any “outside” interference.

 

In this fashion a system may be established for monitoring any volume of subsystems without the need for physical presence of guards and patrols, significantly cutting down costs of manned services.

The simplicity with which CubisNX systems offer central management is making them

ideal for such a requirement. Central management must offer the bank:

-          Encrypted communication between all subsystems and the Central Management location for safe data transmission

-          Online subsystems “health” check (if they are live and connected to the Central Management location)

-          Monitoring of all cameras of the system (for any damage or video loss) and instant fault reporting to the operator

-          Detailed subsystems reporting (a person with the right security clearance can obtain detailed reports of every user connected to the system with a track log ; actions that were performed stamped with date and time)

-          Configuration of each subsystem (modifying cameras, moving PTZ cameras, changing time schedules etc)

-          Automated parallel and remote storage of incidents (in order to prevent destruction of recorded footage from vandalism of the local system)

-          Automated sending procedure for all (or selected) incidents by email or SMS to specified security officers

 

CubisNX NVR systems offer integration with systems as:

 

·         Access Control. In “high sensitivity’ areas of a bank branch e.g. vault, file room, computer room or ATM, an Access control system may be present. Cubitech offers video footage matching access control driven events. In this way every access movement is tracked and recorded not only from the Access Control system but also visually from CubisNX.

·         Burglar alarm. Either from a Central Management location or from a local workstation, a burglar alarm event can be visually checked and verified before any actual action is taken by the security officer on duty. In this way any possibility of catching off guard a person rushing to the location of an event , is eliminated.

 

 CubisNX-D1 NVR systems provide all the above features. They offer maximum real time recording in image resolutions up to 704x576 (D1) for each camera. The storing space may be from 500GB up to 9TB and each camera may have its “own” independent dedicated space for recording, depending on the system requirements.

 

A solution for ATM is also available and it is CubisNX-Mobile. Its’ reduced physical dimensions along with keeping all the above features make it ideal for such an application.

Like all the rest of the CubisNX systems, they also provide the user of the system, either it’s a security company or bank personnel, with the power to configure each camera of the system locally or remotely in order to have the desired results in transmission and recording independently.
